La Réserve Beauchêne supplies to every two guests (except guests at
the Bear Bay Campground)
a 14 foot aluminum boat with 20 horse powered outboard
motors (new annually) for use on Lac Beauchêne.
Most fishing will be done from these well maintained, clean fourteen foot Princecraft Yukon DLX aluminum boats. They are equipped, at the Main Lodge in Lac Beauchêne.

To minimize lugging and to get you on the water fast, 14 foot aluminum boats are also kept at almost all of the larger back lakes - therefore you won't be required to carry a boat into any of our back lakes.
We are pleased to offer several boats with swivel padded seats, casting platforms, fish finder, 60 horse and bow mounted trolling motors are available in addition to our standard lodge boats. These boats can be rented by our guests for additional fee.
Only electric motors are permitted to be used on some of the smaller lakes. These and the necessary batteries are supplied. Some electric motors and batteries are also available for rental for use to supplement your outboard motor on the Big Lake.
All of our boats carry the obligatory personal floatation vests, throwing lines, whistles and waterproof lights. Our guests are also provided with use of boat safety kits, paddles/oars, boat cushions and landing nets.

14 foot fibreglass canoes are available at the Lodge for tripping or simply for a quiet evening paddle. However, all tripping is by reservation only. Be sure to make arrangements ahead of time for canoes if you are not bringing your own. We also have paddles and boat cushions, of course, but you will have to supply your own tent and all other camping gear. Please refer to "Rates and Seasons" for applicable charges. Daily rod fees are payable by each canoeist unless your trip is part of another package.
Guests who wish to bring their own boats are welcome to do so, there is a convenient concrete ramp at the lodge. Be sure to ask our manager in advance about our procedures for protecting against invasive specifies.
We discourage the use of "personal water craft" and "muscle boats", in order to maintain our pristine wilderness experience. We also discourage the use of ATV's on our roads and beaches - mainly to avoid encouraging strangers who are not our guests to indulge in the same activities. That would present a problem for the protection of our fish and other wildlife.
